StrongTies requests read-only access to:

• Gmail — We only read email metadata (sender, recipient, subject line, and date). We never read or store the body of your emails.
• Google Contacts — We import contact information such as name, email, phone number, and company.

No. StrongTies never reads the body/content of your emails. We only access metadata — who you emailed, who emailed you, the subject line, and the date. This metadata is used to understand communication patterns and generate relationship insights.

You can delete all your data at any time from the app:

• Open the StrongTies app
• Go to Settings
• Tap Disconnect Google Account to revoke access and remove imported data
• Tap Delete Account to permanently delete your account and all associated data

You can also email privacy@strongties.app to request data deletion.

Your data is protected with multiple layers of security:

• OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage
• All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with per-user isolation
• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS
• We follow Google Cloud security best practices

StrongTies uses Google Gemini AI to analyze your communication patterns and contact information. The AI classifies your contacts into categories (e.g., close friends, professional, family) and generates personalized nudges to help you stay in touch. All AI processing happens server-side, and your data is not used to train AI models.

Yes. Go to Settings → Disconnect Google Account in the app. This revokes StrongTies' access to your Gmail and Contacts. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page. Your StrongTies account will remain active, but imported data will be removed.

StrongTies is currently in beta and is free to use. We may introduce premium features in the future, but core functionality will remain accessible.

Absolutely not. We never sell, share, or provide your personal data to third parties for advertising or any other purpose. Your data is used solely to provide the StrongTies service to you.
